La Mejorana
Welcome to La Mejorana
“La Mejorana” is part of the “Asociación de Turismo Rural de Andalucía” (Andalusian Rural Tourism Association). Its location, in the city centre of Grazalema town, is one of the treasures in the “pueblos blancos” (white towns) route and offers some wonderful views and an easy access to shops, restaurants and other services.
Grazalema reflects the gentle character of this region which is rich in monuments and has been classified as a “listed town” by the UNESCO. Grazalema is the wettest town in Spain; this fact directly influences in the typology of its landscapes which are totally rare in this area.
Its paved streets, whitewashed houses as well as its location among mountains with marvellous thick vegetation, make of it the most charming enclave in the region of Cadiz.

"Third Visit to Paradise!"
Grazalema is one of our favourite walking destinations with a huge variety of wonderful walks available for walkers of all abilities. La Mejorana is one of our favourite places to stay in Europe. The house is charming, as is the host who is unfailingly helpful and goes out of his way to make his guests feel at home. The rooms are very comfortable, spotlessly clean and the breakfasts on the terrace excellent, in fact one of the day's highlights! The views are wonderful - of the beautiful garden, plants, pool and surrounding mountain peaks. Although it has always been our policy not to return to the same place twice, we hope to continue to return to Grazalema and beautiful La Mejorana.

"“First visit April 2015”"
We spent 5 nights at La Mejorana (April 10-14/15) and it proved a veritable paradise. "Lavanda" was a delightul room with a splendid view of the valley and of a variety of interesting birds in the garden below. Common areas are homelike and comfortable, would be a good place to wait out rain. Ana and Andrés treated us a friends rather than guests, and were a mine of information. At breakfast (always lavish, coffee never ran out!), Andrés always had time for a chat about Spanish literature, local history, and places to visit in the area. Grazalema proved an excellent centre for visiting Ronda, Arcos de la Frontera, Zahara de la Sierra, Ubrique.
